Hawaii Adventure - Day 2 (Evening) - 18 August 2012

7 pm – We checked in and found out where the closest grocery store is—just 5 minutes from our resort.  We were in a 1st floor suite near the activities center.  (I'll pause a minute with the narrative and give you a quick tour of the condo.)

The sink that I used--this bathroom is just off the kitchen

My shower--notice the cord for drying swimming suits

The bedroom

Fawn's shower--with a new and improved shower head
(don't worry--I'll explain that later)

The washer and dryer sure came in handy!

7:15 pm. - After we put our luggage in our room, we went to the grocery store.  Just as we were parking, we were able to see a beautiful sunset over the ocean.

7:45 pm. - We bought our groceries and brought them back to the suite.  We had decided at the store to get something to eat for that evening, so I ate my little ‘bento box’ with a couple of kinds of fried breaded fish, fried spam, fried shrimp, what seemed like pickled fruit (not sure what it was), a small berry (that I didn’t eat)—all over a bed of sticky rice.  It was pretty tasty and just right for a meal that late.  I learned later that the berry was a coffee cherry from one of the local coffee trees.

8:30 pm – We both were fading fast, so we got ready and went to bed.  It seems early, but our body time was really 2:30 am—not early at all.
